Introduction

Welcome to Sas48 hackathon, your chance to make your creative ideas real.

Join us on a journey where bright minds come together to shape the future through innovation and problem-solving.

Sas48 is a 48 hour hackathon where participants team up with like-minded participants who are passionate about making a positive impact.
Teams will be made up of participants with different skills ranging from theme experts, developers, designers, marketers, entrepreneurs, and project managers.
Together, over the course of one weekend, the teams will generate creative ideas to solve real-life problems and work on transforming their ideas into reality by coding, designing, and prototyping.
Throughout the process, experienced mentors and experts will be available to offer guidance and assistance, helping teams overcome challenges and refine their projects.
Finally, each team will present their creations to a panel of impressive judges and have the chance to discover the inspiring innovations of their fellow participants.
The top 3 teams will be announced on the final day and they will receive another additional six-month support to develop the initial business model.

What is the theme for this hackathon?

This year’s theme, GreenTech, invites you to be at the forefront of sustainable innovation, crafting technological solutions that aim not only to mitigate environmental issues but also to redefine our relationship with our planet.
Participants are tasked with developing groundbreaking technologies that can significantly contribute to environmental sustainability, with particular focus on the following sectors:
- Logistics
- Agriculture and food
- Renewable energy
- Environment
- Cross- Cutting sectors
Participants are encouraged to identify various sectors challenges, and to explore how to best utilize GreenTech to optimize routes and reduce fuel consumption; or how to minimize carbon emissions, like using energy-efficient appliances, and boost clean energy use, such as solar panels and wind turbines. Also promoting the use of these technologies to accurately determine plant water and nutrient needs, reducing resource use and increasing production. Furthermore, improving the efficiency of the food supply chain.

Attendance at the pre-event is mandatory for accepted participants to join the hackathon. The pre-event will help you:

Understand how the hackathon will work and the agenda for the 48 hours
Gain deeper knowledge and insights into the hackathon's main theme and challenges
Explore problem-solving and solution development for the challenges at hand
Understand how to create an action plan for the hackathon readiness

Build public awareness and create opportunities in the GreenTech sector, based on available capabilities.
Encourage entrepreneurs and startups to think creative and establish a new business.
To tackle challenges of various sectors (logistics, environment, agriculture and food, renewable energy, cross- cutting sector) and present digital solutions that can be enabled by using technology.
